Article Rewriting Example

Below I have included a 3-paragraph article rewriting example from an article I rewrote from one of my articles titled "Why Article Marketing is Hot."

Original:
The reason why article marketing is so effective is that articles are content-rich and this content offers valuable information to their readers. This is unlike conventional advertising, where advertisements and promotional articles are only descriptive and not informative. Traditional advertisements offered no real value to anybody else expect the advertiser; whereas articles provide real value to the reader.

The new-age customer does not want a mere description of the product that is being marketed. Instead, he wants to know the inside story. He wants to know why he should buy the product and how it will help solve his problem.

Effective articles do not directly promote their products. In fact most webmasters and publishers discourage the use of promotional materials within the body of any article that is posted on their site. All promotional materials are generally left in the 'About the Author' or the 'Resource Box'. Including any kind of self- promotional materials in the body of your article will only ensure it’s exclusion from more than 50% of potential publishers.

Rewritten:
Why is article marketing so hot?

Simple. Because articles contain the vital information readers are looking for. Articles differ from ads in that they contain useful information, and not merely descriptions and heavy promotional material. Since internet users are searching for information-- and not commercial ads -- well-written articles give them exactly what they're looking for.

Today's "new-generation" of customers are not looking for product descriptions and hyped-up sales talk. Instead, they're seeking common-sense reasons to validate their prospective purchase. They want to know what makes the product tick, and more importantly, how it can solve their particular problem.

Written properly, an article does not directly promote any product or service. Actually, publishers frown on the practice of mixing promotion material with articles they post on their websites. That's why the standard practice continues to be:  Save the "sales talk" for the Author's Resource Box at the end of the article. In fact, about half of all publishers and webmasters turn down articles that contain content that directly promotes or advertises a particular product or service.
