How to Rewrite An Article

by Mike Griffith

But most article marketers make the task of article rewriting more complicated than it should be. Rewriting an article is not hard at all. All you need to do is separate the article into digestible sections and then rewrite each section.

Here's how to do it.

First, read each individual paragraph through to get the feel of what you want to say. Then rewrite the paragraph in a way that makes sense to you. Think about the way you talk, and write each sentence the way you would say it if you were talking to a friend.

After rewriting your first paragraph, then do all other paragraphs--sentence by sentence--the same way. Here's an example of how you could rewrite the previous sentence I just wrote:

Original: After rewriting your first paragraph, then do all the other paragraphs -- sentence by sentence -- the same way.

Rewrite: When you finish rewriting the first paragraph, then use this as a model for rewriting all the other sentences.

To make your rewritten article original, I would suggest you rewrite at least 75% of the article. I know that's higher than some marketers recommend, but if you want original content, do what it takes to get original content.

Include keywords
Next, you should use keywords in your article. This will get the attention of the search engines and improve traffic to your site. When considering keywords, keep in mind that the search engines are much smarter than they used to be.

No longer do you have to keep repeating the exact same keyword phrase in the body or your article. For example, if your keyword phrase is "rewriting your article," you can use "how to rewrite your article," or "article rewriting" (along with your exact keyword phrase) as variations within your article.

Other ways to rewrite your article
Make your content unique by writing from a different perspective. This will take more time and effort, but in the long run you'll get more traffic. And it will get your article accepted by more publishers, bloggers and webmasters.

Here are three different ways to rewrite the same article to make it unique.

1. Add statistics and facts.

Using statistics and interesting info and facts in your article will hold the attention of readers who like details and specific information.

2. Add quotes ... and a story

Stories intrigue people. Including quotes and stories in your content grabs the interest and attention of your audience and compels them to keep reading.

3. Add keywords

Come up with a list of keywords that relates to your target audience. You can get ideas using Google's keyword tool. For each keyword write a paragraph. Before you know it, you'll have another unique article ready for publication. Articles with specific keywords always get the attention of the search engines. And that means more traffic to your site.

Rewriting articles simply involves changing words and sentences to make them say it the way you would say it. It's just that simple. Just think of the way you would relate a story or event to a friend, then write it down in your own words.

Finally, stop listening to people who tell you "You can't do it!"

One problem many article marketers have with PLR (Private Label Rights) is they just don't know how to rewrite an article.

It's a fact that articles with unique content always get more targeted traffic than those that haven't been rewritten. And article directories, like EzineArticles.com, are constantly checking their list of submissions to make sure readers are getting quality content.
