How To Use Articles To Promote Your New Website or Blog
by Mike Griffith
So you've built your new website. You've dotted all the "I's" and crossed all the "T's." You've checked all your links and navigation bars. You've gone over it with a fine-tooth comb for spelling and grammatical errors and published your site. It's all systems go.
But there's one small problem. You're not selling any products because you don't have any visitors. Why?
It's simple. Nobody knows who you are. Or what you sell. Or that you even exist.
If you intend to channel targeted traffic to your website you'll have to do one of two things -- or both.
First, you will need to get the search engines to send targeted, buying traffic to your site. And second, you'll have to get traffic from other online sources, such as referrals from other online webmasters and publishers.
One thing is for certain. If you want to drive hungry, buying traffic to your new site you will have to do some vigorous advertising and promotion. You have to arrest the attention of prospective buyers before you can motivate them to visit your site. And this you must do if you plan to succeed in the online business arena.
But you're on a budget and you can't afford the expense of writing ads and sales letters -- much less the high cost of consistently advertising your site all over the internet in an effort to get buying visitors.
So, what to do?
Write articles.
Article marketing is the most effective and least expensive strategy on the internet for "advertising" your website -- no matter what product or service you're promoting. And the best news is that writing articles is free. Translation: You don't have to spend a dime of your advertising budget to promote and advertise your product or service online.
But there's another up-side to writing articles. It's one of the most effective ways to create backlinks to your site and get the search engines to send you free targeted, buying visitors day in and day out.
Best regards.
