Where to Submit Your Article

by Mike Griffith

Let's make an assumption. Let's assume you've done your homework; you've researched your keyword, you've written your article with the proper links and you've optimized it for the search engines.

Now the question becomes...

Where do I submit my article for publication and distribution?

There are numerous places all over the internet to submit your articles. I will list a couple free article directories that I use. Keep in mind that some sites accept articles automatically and some will require editorial approval.

Article directories are sites that accept and place your article in the public domain where editors, webmasters, bloggers and publishers can view them and publish them on their own sites--free of charge. They agree to publish your entire article, including your byline and your resource box with a live link to your site.

Here are some guidelines

When submitting to these sites, there are a few general guidelines you'll have to follow. For example, your articles are typically given an an article resource box where you will include your byline and a short bio which you can link to your website.

Keep your article at about 450-550 words long.  That's because long articles tend to turn readers off. And webmasters don't have the space to publish longer articles. Check out other articles on the site and see what the average article length is, and follow that. Make sure you read and follow each site's editorial guidelines to avoid being rejected.

Now, as to where to submit your articles, I use EzineArticles.com, SooperArticles.com. There are hundreds more on the internet.  Again, there are many other places where you can submit articles. These are the ones I'm most familiar with. You can Google "article submission" for more choices.

Now that you know where to submit your articles, here's where to get some quality articles to submit.
