Free tips and strategies to help you make money with online article marketing

And that's why it's important for you to put some thought into writing a great headline for your article. Here are a few tips that will help you write effective headlines and come up with an eye-stopping title and get the most from your article-marketing efforts.
1. Keep it short. Try to think like your reader. Your reader is seeking information and doesn't have time to scan through all the article titles listed by Google or the other search engines. In fact, most people won't even take the time to read your entire article title. Plus, a short title helps you keep your article content focused and readable. For more on this, click here.
2. Keep it relevant. The more "to the point' your title is, the better you will rank in the search engines -- and the more relevant your article will be to your reader. That means you must have a relevant headline.
3. Place your keyword at the beginning. This is good for Google and the other search engines because it aids them in classifying your article. But more importantly, it helps your reader decide whether or not your article is exactly what he's looking for.
4. Put the topic in the headline title. This helps establish relevancy for you and for your reader. For example, if you are writing about monkeys, include that topic in the title of your article. This helps your reader focus on the description of your article and lets them know they came to the right place.
5. Make your headline "clickable." Think about how you want to phrase your title. You can ask a question: "Are Monkeys an Endangered Species?" Or use a "how-to" title: "How to Communicate With Monkeys." Or how about a numbered list: "Guinea Pigs: 7 Tips for Raising Them."
My point is that your article title can be the deciding factor on whether or not your article gets read. Keep in mind that writing effective article headlines is what article marketing is all about.
If you think you can't write an article, much less a killer headline, join the crowd. I used to think the same thing. But believe me, if you can talk, you can write. I suggest you grab a copy of You Can Write Articles , an excellent 45-page ebook by Martin Avis.

Writing an effective headline for your article is crucial to your article marketing success. Your article title will determine whether or not your article gets clicked, and can make a world of difference in your bottom line profits. This is a basic online article marketing rule.
That's because most readers seeking information will discover your article either by browsing an article directory like Ezine Articles, or by searching Google or one of the other search engines. In both cases, your article headline and a tiny bit of additional information is usually all they will see.
We should forgive and then forget what we have forgiven.
If your headline doesn't "grab" their attention right away, they will certainly hit the "back" button...and your article will, once again, slink back into the the outer fringes of cyberspace.
